Look, I'm memesheeping! I'm sure you are shocked.

A. Has my portrayal of a character(s) changed the way you think of him/her?
(This one is a question from me to you!)

B. Pick one of my characters and I'll answer the following questions about him or her.

1. What would your character kill for? What would they die for?
2. What would they refuse to do under any circumstances? Why?
3. What do they dream about?
4. What’s their biggest fear?
5. What single object would they be most hard pressed to part with? Why?
6. What is their fondest memory?
7. What is their worst memory?
8. What or who was were their most significant influence? Expound.
9. What do they believe makes a successful life?
10. What makes them laugh?
11. What are their religious views?
12. What is their greatest strength?
13. Do they have a fatal flaw? If so, what is it?
14. Who is the most important person in their life?
15. If they died, who would miss them most? How would they die?

C. Pick a fandom, any fandom I'm in. I will tell you some stuff that may involve canon ships, fanon ships, fanon trends, and whether or not I think things jumped the shark or went absolutely nuts, or where I myself stopped watching/reading, and why!

Ever had poor self-esteem issues really abruptly rear their heads for no real reason (well, no reason of any particular substance, and no reason that I'd be inclined to tell anyone), and refuse to go away?

I really don't approve of my brain right now.

Okay, weird thing: Someone on my buddy list on AIM sent (apparently automatically) a link to somewhere called ff.implayin. I'm not sure if it's a phishing site or not (the creator has gone to several places saying it isn't, just a harmless, slightly vapid game), but if anybody gets IMs from me linking them to it, then that's not me, that's some automated system.

I changed my password, so if it was a phishing site, they don't have my password anymore.

On a related note, my AIM has gone wacky with random alert sounds. I've no idea if this is because of that site or not. EDIT: This has stopped now, and it was suggested that this may have just been ad banners that make AIM noises.

Ask a character a question, any question, and they HAVE to answer completely honestly. Have to. It's the meme rule. Even if they'd normally lie, they suddenly have been hit with a truth serum of some kind and must tell the truth. Bwaha.

So, from early tomorrow morning, before - or possibly quite a long time after - the sun rises, I shall be gone. Gone away. Gone away for a week. I shall spend much of that time weeping and saying "This towel reminds me of those good days online!" and then I shall come back (upon the evening of next Saturday) and furiously deny doing anything of the sort.

In the meantime, a quick meme, as stolen from [info]ceitfianna.

Ask me my fannish Top Five [Whatevers]. Any top fives. Doesn't matter what, really! And I will answer them all in a new post I will probably just answer them in comments in this post, I am lazy.

Comment here with one of your character's name and one of my characters and I'll leave you a big block of text on how that character feels about yours.

Let's see, I won't put all my pups here, but these ones are here for it: Atton Rand, Teddy Lupin, Sparrow, Seamus Finnigan, Victor Mancha, Shay Fitzgerald, Shay Doyle, Marley.

Bah. I keep wanting to move Sparrow through canon, and I keep being faily and flaking. I arranged for threading of the Rookridge trip/Hobbe cave, with Will and Dara joining Sparrow, and then I flaked, and then I was all "So, hey, let's do that!" and I flaked again.

D:

I should get something up soon, for prethreading. If I don't continue to flake.

Even more memeing!

a. My favorite thing about that character.
b. My least favorite thing about that character.
c. One person I would ship them with in their own verse.
d. One crossover ship for them I think would be neat.
e. One crossover universe for them I think would be even neater.
f. Their ship from hell.
g. Their song.
h. The title of their biography or autobiography.
i. The last bad dream they had.
j. How they're gonna shuffle off the mortal coil, if they haven't already.

Note for people who usually see me around online - I'll be off out tonight, and when I get back will probably be avoiding chat and my flist to avoid getting spoiled for the last episode of Torchwood: Children of Earth. Overcautious, I know, but I know lots of people got spoiled massively for the finale last year, and someone got spoiled for episode four just yesterday. Hell, I got spoiled for the last episode yesterday, and it hasn't even aired. But they were but minor spoilers.

Also, will probably write a big post about said current Torchwood miniseries soon. Probably.

A thought has occured to me, regarding asking my flist something:

Flist! Are there any particular historical eras, recent or distant, that appeal to you, creatively or otherwise? Why? Any particular places? Any particular places at certain points in history? How did you develop an interest in this historical era/place/combination thereof?

So, I did that there New Enneagram Test. I ended up scoring very high as the Observer, to the point where the next highest score was only half that.

So, then I c&ped that which it said and bolded the stuff I think applies to me. Nothing in the parent section is bolded, for obvious reasons.

The Observer (the Five)

Observers have a need for knowledge and are introverted, curious, analytical, and insightful.

How to Get Along with Me

Be independent, not clingy.
Speak in a straightforward and brief manner.
I need time alone to process my feelings and thoughts.
Remember that If I seem aloof, distant, or arrogant, it may be that I am feeling uncomfortable.
Make me feel welcome, but not too intensely, or I might doubt your sincerity.
If I become irritated when I have to repeat things, it may be because it was such an effort to get my thoughts out in the first place.

don't come on like a bulldozer.
Help me to avoid my pet peeves: big parties, other people's loud music, overdone emotions, and intrusions on my privacy.

What I Like About Being a Five

standing back and viewing life objectively
coming to a thorough understanding; perceiving causes and effects
my sense of integrity: doing what I think is right and not being influenced by social pressure

not being caught up in material possessions and status
being calm in a crisis

What's Hard About Being a Five

being slow to put my knowledge and insights out in the world
feeling bad when I act defensive or like a know-it-all
being pressured to be with people when I don't want to be
watching others with better social skills, but less intelligence or technical skill, do better professionally

Fives as Children Often

spend a lot of time alone reading, making collections, and so on
have a few special friends rather than many
are very bright and curious and do well in school
have independent minds and often question their parents and teachers
watch events from a detached point of view, gathering information
assume a poker face in order not to look afraid
are sensitive; avoid interpersonal conflict
feel intruded upon and controlled and/or ignored and neglected

Fives as Parents

are often kind, perceptive, and devoted
are sometimes authoritarian and demanding
may expect more intellectual achievement than is developmentally appropriate
may be intolerant of their children expressing strong emotions

Weirdly stressed. Have been since last night. Uncertain why, but a lack of sleep two nights in a row may have something to do with it - my insomnia has returned with a vengeance. Sometimes I am all "Hi, insomnia," and then it sets me on fire, and this makes me sad.

Also, I may knuckle down and write either some game reviews or some Srs Bsns society/culture posts later today. But probably not.
